And now, the end is near…

Its been well over a year since our big move so it may come as no surprise that we’ve got itchy feet again. This time however, we’re not going to be going anywhere else. After 12 years, 4 shops, and who knows how many metres of fabric, Mum and I have decided that 2016 will be our last year at The Patchwork Dog and Basket. Our most recent move to Mount Place has been a resounding success and we have had nothing but continued positivity and support from our customers both in the shop and on workshops and courses and we have thoroughly enjoyed our time here but the simple fact is the time is right.

The future of the business itself however is uncertain, as we would absolutely love it if someone wanted to continue our work and take it on, and are therefore open to offers. If that sounds like your cup of tea (or that of anyone you know) please get in touch. Although Lewes has been very good to us, we believe the business is portable and our customers are very used to having to find a new location from time to time so all ideas are welcome.

We promise we’re not running off straight away either, so its all business as usual for the foreseeable future and unless we find a new owner, be prepared for the mother of all clearance sales later on in the year! Sign up to our newsletter for up to date information on this.

We would like to take this opportunity to say an enormous Thank You to all of our customers over the years. There is no doubt that we would not still be here today if it wasn’t for your involvement and have already been completely overwhelmed by the reaction to our departure. It would be nice to have a more definite message to deliver at this time, but for now just watch this space! As a wiseman once said, “It will all be ok in the end. If it’s not ok, it’s not the end”
