The nearest car park to us is The Maltings on Castle Precincts, BN7 1YT.If you come into Lewes through the tunnel, go straight on at the roundabout by Tescos, then before you pass the front of Waitrose turn right up East Street, past the bus depot. At the top of the road turn right, but into the far left hand lane and stay left past the New Police Station. Take the first road on your left, Lancaster Street, and then the second road on your left, Sun Street. At the top of Sun Street, Mount place is diagonally to your left. Dive across the T-junction to Mount Place, where you see our little shop, next door to Lewes Framers. Carry on past and turn right up Castle Precincts (past the Lewes Arms). At the top on the hill you will see the castle, and the car park is on your left.
We are just a short-walk from Lewes Bus Depot, although sadly its up hill all the way! On foot, turn left out of the bus station and then immediately left again up East Street. At the top of the road turn left and cross the road at the gap in the railings. You are now on West Street. Walk past the bottom of The Needlemakers building, past the car park and past The Spice Merchant. When you get to the corner, where West Street meets Fisher Street, Mount Place is in front of you to the left. Cross over the end of Fisher Street and turn into Mount place, where you see our shop, next door to Lewes Framers. If your bus comes down the highstreet, hop off at Lewes Crown Court. Walk as if to go down the hill, but turn the corner at ASK onto Fisher Street. Walk down the road until you get to The Lamb of Lewes pub on your right, and turn down Commercial Passage on your left past the end of The Star Brewery. You are now on Mount Place, turn right and our shop is just a few doors down on the left hand side – this is much quicker, and avoids the hill!
We are really close to the station, and also encounters one of Lewes’ famous hills! From the front of Lewes Train Station turn right and walk across the bridge over the car park. Cross over Lansdowne Place onto Station Street – with The Lansdowne Arms on the corner. Walk up Station Street until you get to The Highstreet and some traffic lights. Cross the road towards Tourist Information and continue onto Fisher Street (opposite Station Street). Walk down Fisher Street until you see The Lamb of Lewes on your right and The Star Brewery on your left. Walk down the passage way left, past the door to The Star Brewery and towards The Lewes Arms and turn right. You are now on Mount Place and the shop is just a few doors along on the left hand side of the road. .
