Our Dressmaking Sewing Group is a flexible class aimed to cater for all abilities, from complete beginners who need guidance on where to start to experienced seamstresses who don’t like to sew on their own! Tutored by the incredibly talented Becky Drinan from MakeIt Workshops, this class allows you to bring your own pattern so what you are making is entirely to suit your own needs, so whether you want to work on something simple whilst you get your head round using a sewing machine, or you want to take on a challenge like making a ball gown then this class works all round. If you’ve got a stack of patterns burning a hole in your creative pocket then bring them all along and becky will help you choose which is the best place to start.
The Dressmaking Sewing Group takes place on Tuesday mornings from 10am – 12.30. This is the final block of dressmaking classes that will take place at The Patchwork Dog and Basket as we are retiring at the end of the year! Nevertheless, the 6 week block gives you plenty of time to make whatever outfit you have in mind and Becky will be continuing her classes at her own workshop in East Hoathly, if you need a helping hand in the future.
